These exceptional shoes are drawn from late 16th century examples and were popular in Germany, Burgundy, Northern Italy and England, probably from 1550-1600 or so.

In "Stepping Through Time" they are called "Tie-Lace Fastening on Latchet Shoes, type 130."

These gloves are a fantastic compromise of fit, feel and protection. I normally have a hard time finding gloves that fit well as I have a normal span, but narrow finger. None the less, I went with large under the "fits most" theme and was pleasantly surprised.

There are not a lot of options when you're looking for protective gear for arnis. After a few years of study everyone's kit looks quite different, and most of it only provides barely-adequate protection. This is especially true in hand protection. These gloves, however, are above and beyond any hand protection gear I've used in my 10 years in FMA. The kevlar reinformcements are perfectly placed to lighten strikes to the back of the hand

These boots are extremely comfortable *once they are broken in!* I wetted them down and then spent a Saturday walking around in wet squishy boots to wear them in so the leather behind my foot was more supple. Once worn in, they have been fantastic. I've had them for nearly a year now and are still going strong. Still figuring out the best way to tie them, but they are very comfortable and durable.
